Raleigh’s Historic Oakwood celebrated its second annual Samedi Gras Saturday. “Samedi” means Saturday in French, just as “mardi” means Tuesday.

The two blocks of Linden Street hosted this year’s celebration with three homes offering different types of New Orleans food and drink. There were drums playing, and a rickshaw, decorated up as a chariot, gave folks rides around the neighborhood.
